Youth Day started by the Department of Youth Services at District Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur : It is important for the youth to imbibe the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, so that they can keep pace with the times. These views were expressed by Kamaljit Singh SDM Mukerian.
These words were said by SDM Mukerian under the leadership of Preet Kohli, Assistant Director of Youth Services Department, District Hoshiarpur, Punjab, while participating in the opening ceremony of the two-day Youth Day event dedicated to Swami Vivekananda at Dasmesh Girls College Chak Allah Baksh Mukerian.
Addressing the participants, he said that the education we get in such events is not contained in any book knowledge. He also said that we should participate more in such events, so that the talent within us can emerge. During the program, Dasmesh Girls College Chak Allah Bakhsh Mukerian Managing Committee Manager Surjit Singh Bhatia said that we are very happy to see that schools and colleges across the district are giving their presentations together today.
He said that I am very happy to see that the majority of blood donors are girls. This work proves that girls are not behind in any work. In the program of the first day apart from the mega blood camp, a quiz on Swami Vivekananda was also conducted in which the team of SPN College of Nursing won the first place, the second place went to the government C.S.C. Smart School Dasuha and The team from GTB Khalsa College of Education had to settle for third place.
In this event, blood was collected by the blood bank team of Government Hospital Mukerian. Dr. Smita Chaudhary and staff nurse Daljit Kaur MLT Gurinder Singh, MLT Kuldeep Singh were present in this team. Expressing gratitude for this two-day youth event, the college principal said that whatever habit we have to teach the coming generation, we should show it ourselves, that’s why I myself came forward at the first number during the blood donation.
They said that it is a matter of great joy for us that the fair of youth/young women is held in our yard, I congratulate them all on this day and hope that such events will bring more improvement in their lives.
