94 posts of various categories will be filled in Forest Development Corporation : Govind Singh Thakur

Shimla : While presiding over the meeting of the Board of Directors of the State Forest Development Corporation here today, Forest Minister Govind Singh Thakur said that the Corporation has earned revenue of Rs 5.60 crore from the sale of turpentine oil.He said that 94 posts of various categories, including 75 forest guards, would be filled soon by direct recruitment to maintain smooth functioning of the corporation. Along with this, multi-purpose workers will also be recruited in the corporation through outsource process.It was decided in the meeting to give five percent dearness allowance to the officers and employees of the corporation on the analogy of the employees of the state government from July 1, 2019, which will benefit 1421 employees of the corporation. It was also decided to give enhanced wages to the daily wage earners and part-time employees, including regularizing contract employees in the corporation.The Forest Minister instructed the officers to work for modernisation of Nahan and Bilaspur factories. He said that the commission given by the Godrej furniture to the Forest Corporation will be increased from five percent to eight percent, which will enable the corporation to earn more revenue. He also approved the opening of a central depot at Patlikuhal in Kullu district.General Manager of the corporation, Dr. Pawanesh Kumar conducted the proceedings of the meeting.The meeting was attended by the corporation’s vice chairman Surat Negi, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Ajay Kumar and other non-government members.
