Rs. 9.64 crore distributed under Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Srijan programme

Shimla : Industries, Labour and Employment Minister Bikram Singh presided over the 235th Board of Directors meeting of Himachal Pradesh Khadi and Village Industry Board, here today.Bikram Singh said that in the year 2019-20 Rs. 9.64 crore has been distributed to 327 beneficiaries for setting up of village industries and micro units under Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Srijan programme by Himachal Pradesh Khadi Village Industry Board, which created employment for more than 2600 people. Under this scheme with an expenditure of Rs. 10.93 crore a target of setting up 364 units in the year 2020-21 has been fixed.The BOD gave its approval for regularizing Daily wagers completing five years of service for which matter would be sent to Government for final approval through General Administrative Department.BOD decided to relax the handling charges to be given by Sale Counters under Minimum Sale Guarantee from 1st April, 2020 to 31st July, 2020 due to lockdown in the wake of COVID-19.Board decided to prepare DPR for development of its real estates in Mandi, Shimla and Kullu and directed to send it to Administration Department for its appropriate utilization to increase the income.The Board also sympathetically considered appointments on compassionate ground and gave suggestions for preparing a proposal as per the guidelines of the State Government and to send it to Administrative Department for further action.Board of Directors directed to revoke the deduction of 25 percent from administrative expenditure of the Board.Vice Chairman Purshotam Guleria, ACS Industries Ram Subhag Singh, Director Industries Hans Raj Sharma and Under Secretary Finance and CEO Khadi Board S.D. Negi and Non Government Member Pitamber Lal were also present in the meeting.
