Governor Bandaru Dattatraya interacts with authorities of Mobile Network Operators of State

Shimla : Governor Bandaru Dattatraya has appealed the mobile network operators to make consumers more aware of the Corona pandemic prevention measures and guidelines issued by the Governments while discharging their social responsibility. The Governor was interacting with the higher authorities of Mobile Network Operators of the State at the Raj Bhavan, today, including BSNL, Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone.He expressed satisfaction that most of the operators were already providing better services in the State and asked them to do more work especially for tribal areas, weaker sections, farmers etc. He added that the work of optical fibre and digital India should be expedited in the state so that people could be benefited.Shri Dattatraya said that many communication challenges were in the hill state, and due to tough geographical conditions, people were more dependent on the communication system. He said that the unlock period of COVID-19 has started, so they should increase their activities further and awareness messages, such as caller tunes, pre-call announcements, etc. He also urged to extend the validity period during this period. He appreciated front line corona warriors of the companies, who worked hard to maintain the mobile network during this period.Rakesh Kanwar Secretary to the Governor, Chandra Mohan, HP Nodal Officer of BSNL, Prashant Thakur, HR Head, Reliance Jio, Vipin Ahuja, Operation Head, Airtel and Gurmel Singh Deputy General Manager Airtel, Shashikant Verma, Circle Head, Vodafone and others were also present on the occasion.
