Jai Ram Thakur inaugurates and lays foundation stones of various developmental projects worth Rs. 26 crore in Kullu AC

Kullu : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presided over Pragatisheel Himachal: Sathapna ke 75 Varsh programme organized at Dhalpur ground in Kullu today.The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various developmental projects worth about Rs.26 crores for Kullu assembly constituency in district Kullu.
The Chief Minister inaugurated Rs. 1.67 crore Type-2 residential building of Fire Station Kullu and Rs. 91 lakh Type-3 residential building of Regional Hospital Kullu. He laid the foundation stone of Rs. 5.49 crore multi-storey parking Sultanpur of Municipal Council Kullu, Rs. 1.77 crore Type-2, Rs. 3.31 crore Type-3 and Rs. 9.97 crore Type-4 residential buildings of Government Polytechnic College, Kullu.
While addressing a largely attended public meeting at Dhalpur ground, Jai Ram Thakur announced opening of new primary school in Balagra, upgradation of government middle school Mashna to Government High School, Government High School Shaat and Government High School Dhara Kothi Chowk to Government Senior Secondary Schools.
He also announced starting electrician, welder and COPA trades in ITI Jari, eco-friendly market at Bijli Mahadev and semi circular stadium, parking and market at sports ground Dhalpur on completion of necessary formalities.
Chief Minister said “Since the formation of Himachal Pradesh, the state has taken a historic and inspiring journey on the path of development, thanks to the contribution of various leaders and people of the state”.
He said that despite the difficult geographical conditions, today Himachal has established its own identity in the country as a model hill state. During this period, there have been an unprecedented increase in literacy rate, per capita income and other areas in Himachal Pradesh, he added.
Chief Minister said that with the increase in the Gross Domestic Product, food grains and fruit production, the number of health and educational institutions have also increased for providing quality services in the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that despite the impact of the corona pandemic for two years, the pace of developmental activities remains intact in the state.The State government did not allow development and life to stop even during this period” he said.
Chief Minister said that the successful implementation of the various ambitious schemes and programmes of the State Government has brought a positive change in the lives of the people of the State.
“Under Mukhya Mantri Sahara Yojana, financial assistance of Rs. 3000 per month is being provided to the patients suffering from serious diseases. So far 20 thousand people have benefited under this scheme” said the Chief Minister.
He said that 1381 beneficiaries have been given free treatment under the Chief Minister Medical Assistance Fund Scheme.He said that various tests and other facilities were being provided free of cost along with medicines under the Chief Minister’s Free Medicines Scheme.
Chief Minister said that visitor kits have been provided to 2,57,762 newborns so far under the Atal Aashirvad scheme. He said that efforts have been made to provide relief to the weaker and needy sections in the state.
Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, golden cards of 4.31 lakh families have been made. He said that 5.97 lakh families have been registered under HIMCARE and Rs. 266.59 crore has been spent on the treatment of 2.84 lakh people under the scheme.
He said that under the Swarna Jayanti Nari Sambal Yojana, a pension of Rs. 1000 per month was being provided to women in the age group of 65 to 69 years. He said that Rs 75.31 crore has been spent on providing housing facilities to 7116 eligible people belonging to Scheduled Castes under Swarna Jayanti Ashray Yojana.
He said that under the Mukhya Mantri Shagun Yojana, Shagun of Rs. 31000 was being provided by the government on the marriage of daughters of BPL families, under which Rs. 16.45 crore has been spent on the marriage of 5300 daughters so far.
Jai Ram Thakur said that under the Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojna, Rs. 51,000 was being provided for the marriage of destitute women or girls. Under this, Rs 37.92 crore has been provided to 7985 beneficiaries so far.
Chief Minister said that 6566 houses have been sanctioned by spending Rs 78.79 crore under Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana and 7540 houses were sanctioned to economically weaker people under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), on which Rs 53.45 crore was spent.
Social security pension was being provided to 6,35,375 old age people, widows, differently abled, destitute and single women and people suffering from leprosy in the state, he added.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the exhibition of different departments set up at Dhalpur ground showcasing the glorious journey of the state in various sectors.
Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur detailed the developmental works done in the Valley during the tenure of the present State Government. He said that with the efforts of the double engine governments in the center and state, development and prosperity have been ensured in Himachal.
Former MP Maheshwar Singh also spoke in the program.A short documentary on the developmental journey of the state was also screened during the program.
Delhi MLA Vijender Gupta, State BJP Vice President Dhaneshwari Thakur, President Municipal Council Kullu Gopal Krishna Mahant, Vice President HPMC Ram Singh, Vice President State Agro Industry Yuvraj Bodh, Kullu district BJP President Bhim Sen Sharma, Chief Engineer Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Sunil Kumar, Executive Engineer Balwant Sharma, Additional District Magistrate Prashant Sarkaik, representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Municipal bodies were also present on the occasion among others.
