Nation is safe and secure under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi : Jai Ram Thakur

Shimla : The Nation is safe and secure under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India has regained its old glory under his able leadership. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the virtual rally of Shimla Parliamentary Constituency from Shimla today.The Chief Minister said that even the leaders of the most powerful nations of the world have now acknowledged the strong leadership of Narendra Modi. He said that abrogation of Article 370 was possible due to the strong political will power and today India is one nation with one Constitution and one flag. He said that similarly, the decision regarding Triple Talaq was also a historic one which has ensured empowerment of muslim women and checked their exploitation.Chief Minister said that the State Government has completed two and a half years of it tenure on 27th May, 2020. He said that this tenure of the Government has been full of achievements and accomplishments. He said that credit of this goes to each and every person of the State.Jai Ram Thakur said that Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 passed by the Parliament of India on 11th December 2019, provides Indian citizenship to migrant Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian religious minorities, who had fled persecution from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan before December 2014. He said that the Corona pandemic has once again proved that the country was safe in the hands of Prime Minister Narindra Modi. He said that it was due to the political far sightedness of the Prime Minister that death rate due to Covid-19 was quite low as compared to most of the developed countries of the world.Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has announced Rs 20 lakh crore economic package for revival of the economy of the country which has adversely affected due to the corona pandemic. He said that the State of Himachal Pradesh has also immensely benefited from this package. He said that under the Ujjawala Yojna as many as 1.36 lakh free gas cylinders have been provided for the period of three months. He said that 8.74 farmers of the State were provided Rs 2000 under the Pradhan Mantri Kissan Samman Nidhi Yojna and Rs 500 each have been transferred to the accounts of 5.90 lakh eligible women under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna for the month of April, May and June.
Jai Ram Thakur said that people of State were stranded in various parts of the country and it was the duty of the State Government to ensure their safety, therefore over 1.80 lakh people of the State were brought back from different parts of the country, which witnessed a spike in Corona cases. He said that still, the situation is fairly under control as the State Government has made elaborate arrangements to ensure that the people arriving from other States were properly examined and kept in institutional or home quarantine as per their travel history and medical status. He said that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated the Active Case Finding Campaign launched by the State Government and even asked other states to follow the footsteps of the Himachal Pradesh to effectively tackle the situation.The Chief Minister also administered the ‘Sankalp’ oath on the occasion.While addressing the Virtual Rally from New Delhi Union Law, Information & Broadcasting and IT Minister Ravishankar Parsad said that Himachal Pradesh was not only a ‘Dev Bhoomi’, but also a ‘Veer Bhumi’, as out of the four Param Vir Chakra given in the Kargil war, two were won by the brave soldiers of Himachal Pradesh. He said that the first Paramavir Chakra of Independent India was also won by Captain Som Nath Sharma, who also hailed from Himachal.Ravishankar Prasad also congratulated the Chief Minister for being adjudged as a ‘Best Chief Minister’ of the country by an independent agency. He said that this speaks of the hard work and dedication the Chief Minister was putting in for making Himachal Pradesh the Most Developed State of the country. He said that the Corona pandemic has proved that the Country was safe under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that fifteen countries of the world which were most affected by Corona have a total population of 142 crore and as many as 4,04,396 deaths have been reported due to Corona.
On the other hand India has a population of 137 crore and till date has registered 7745 deaths due to Corona, he added.Union Minister said that this was due to the timely decision of lockdown made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the Union Government has not only announced a Rs 1.70 lakh crore package for the poor but has also announced worlds biggest economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore for welfare of every section of the society for the revival of the dwindled economy of the country due to the pandemic. He said that Rs 11 lakh crore has been transferred in bank accounts of eligible poor under various schemes during the last about six years.Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur also participated in the virtual rally from Delhi.Member of Parliament Suresh Kashyap presented a vote of thanks.Political Advisor to the Chief Minister, General Secretary State BJP and Convenor Jan Samwad Rally Trilok Jamwal while welcoming the Union Minister and the Chief Minister said that about two lakh users have been connected through various modes of communication in this first virtual rally. He also detailed various historic decisions taken by the Union Government during the last six years. He thanked each and every party workers for providing their wholehearted support to the State Government to fight the COVID pandemic.Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr Rajiv Saizal, Chief Whip Narinder Bragta, MLA Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Balbir Verma, Rakesh Jamwal, Reena Kashyap, General Secretary Child Welfare Council Payal Vaidya, Mayor Shimla Municipal Corporation Satya Kaundal, Deputy Mayor Shailender Chauhan, Vice Chairman State Civil Supplies Corporation Baldev Tomar, Chairman HIMFED Ganesh Dutt, Chairperson Saksham Gudiya Board Rupa Sharma and other leaders of Shimla Parliament seat were also present on the occasion.
