Ambala : Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that Ambala’s progress is increasing and Ambala will become a ‘city to metropolis’ in future with the construction of 40 km long ring road.
Shri Vij said this while distributing checks to the farmers whose land has been acquired under Ring Road project at PWD Rest House in Ambala Cantonment on Tuesday.
Home Minister Anil Vij said that the money will come directly in the accounts of farmers through RTGS, cheques are being given only in a ritualistic manner.
On Tuesday, he distributed an amount of about Rs. 107.33 crore to 253 farmers of villages Bada, Buhava, Dhurali, Dukhedi, Kotakchua Khurd and Mohra.
He said that under Ring Road project, an amount of about Rs 600 crore would be given to those farmers whose land has been acquired.
It is worth noting that this ring road will work as a bypass and the drivers will be able to overtake from outside without coming into the congested area of the city.On this occasion, Home Minister Anil Vij thanked Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Haryana Government for sanctioning the Ring Road project.
He said that it was only after meeting Union Minister Nitin Gadkari ji that he got the Ring Road project approved in Ambala. The day when the foundation stone of Saha Road was laid by Nitin Gadkari, he also gave approval for Ring Road in Ambala.
Central and State Government each is giving half the amount of land: Anil Vij
Home Minister Anil Vij said that the central government is giving half of the cost of the land in the project and the state government is giving half. Out of the money that the central government has to give, about 100 crore rupees have come to us so far, which is being distributed and efforts are being made to bring the remaining amount soon.
Ring road will do the work of bypass in Ambala, no need to enter the city: Vij
Home Minister Anil Vij said that Ring Road will work as a bypass in Ambala. There will be ring road around Ambala. Vehicle coming from Jagadhri will leave Saddopur without entering the city, if he wants to go to Amritsar then from outside he will take Ring Road to GT Road.
If he wants to go to Hisar, then from Ring Road he will leave for Hisar Road. Whatever, heavy traffic is in the city, it will be of great benefit to build a road and will benefit in the expansion of the city.
He told that now the ring road will be made four-lane, but we have taken the land as much as six-lane so that if the road is to be expanded in future, then there will be no problem.
The amount being provided to the farmers from this formula
Under the Ring Road project, farmers are being compensated at the rate of 1.25 of the collector rate and 100 percent of that amount plus compensation plus 12 percent interest from the day the land is acquired till the amount is received.
Today the payment has been made, now ‘Chat Mangni Pat Vyaah’
Home Minister Anil Vij said that people coming from outside now say that Ambala is no longer the previous Ambala, but we still have a lot more work to do. It will be of great benefit only with the construction of Ring Road and big industry will come.
He jokingly said that today the payment is being made, now a little work is left and soon further tasks will be completed. ‘Chat Mangni Pat Vyaah’.
