As per the directions of Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Anil Vij

Panipat : As per the directions of Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Anil Vij, a team of Food and Drug Administration and Police has succeeded in busting the filling of substandard packaged drinking water bottles by raiding Noltha in district Panipat.
Giving information in this regard, a spokesperson of the Food and Drug Administration said that Minister had received a complaint in the Janata Darbar that at a place behind Jawahar Navodaya School in Noltha, district Panipat, substandard packaged drinking water were being filled in the bottles.
On the directions of the minister, the officials of the department formed a joint team of FDA and police.He said that this team raided Avani Beverages located in Naulatha of Panipat and the team found that on the spot that the bottles of Budweiser and Vereno brands were being filled with packaged drinking water.
When the team asked about the license which Akshay son of Ramkumar, the operator of the firm present there, could not show any documents related to it.
The spokesman said that even as per the departmental records, the above firm does not have a license to manufacture packaged drinking water. The team filled three samples of packaged drinking water and also three samples of carbonated water from the spot for testing.
A show cause notice has been issued to the firm for the offense of producing packaged drinking water without a licence.He said that after completion of formalities, a case would be filed in the court under the Food Safety Act. The spokesman said that there is a provision of imprisonment for six months and a fine of five lakh rupees for this offense.
