Ambala : Haryana Home and Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij was seen in a different style after unfurling the Tricolor at Ambala City Police Line on the occasion of Republic Day. On the occasion of Basant Panchami, Home Minister Anil Vij flew his kite with a saffron colored thread to the height of the sky.

After kite flying, Home Minister Vij gave a message to the youth to sit at home and come out of social media, increase their inclination towards traditional sports so that along with the education of mutual love, cooperation, support, enjoyment can be derived from those sports.

After unfurling the tricolor in Ambala city on the 74th Republic Day, Vij along with his brother Sh. Kapil Vij flew kites at Subhash Park on the occasion of Basant Panchami with a saffron colored thread.

The festival of Basant Panchami is a tradition to be celebrated across the country and Home Minister Anil Vij also chose Subhash Park of Ambala Cantonment to celebrate Basant Panchami and took his kite to the heights of the sky with a saffron colored thread.

During this, while interacting with the media persons, he said that earlier people used to fly kites on Basant Panchami and games used to take place here, now people are stuck on TV only.
Earlier people used to do gulli-danda, Kanche and kite flying and from panchmi day people started flying kites. In traditional sports there is joy, there is love, there is cooperation and there is support, he said.

When this road is built, Ambala is going to benefit a lot from it. Many other roads are also connected with the Ring Road, including Ambala-Delhi via Shamli, Ambala to Mohali, Ambala to Kala Amb. It is in the interest of the country to have good roads, he added.
