“Whoever inculcates the feeling of patriotism, dishonesty, corruption and theft are eradicated from his mind” : Anil Vij

Chandigarh : Haryana Home and Health Minister, Anil Vij said that “the person who inculcates the spirit of patriotism, dishonesty, corruption and theft are eradicated from his mind and that person is continuously working for the development of the country”.
He called upon the youth of the country to play an important role in the development of the country.Sh. Vij said this while addressing a gathering during the function to name “Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh ji” at Mohali International Airport here today.
*Greetings to the people of Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh*
He also extended his best wishes to the people of Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh for renaming the international airport after Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. He said that as soon as the name of Bhagat Singh comes, blood starts running in the arteries because he had sacrificed his life for the country.
He said that whenever his face starts coming before eyes, the feeling of patriotism gets imbibed in every person who has the courage to do something for the country.

Sh. Vij said that in order to librate our country from the fetters of slavery, many great personalities have sacrificed their lives, one of which is also Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh, because Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh is still in our hearts and minds.
Today we are once again naming this airport after him to pay tribute to him so that our future generations can remember the valor and bravery of the immortal martyr and contribute to the development and progress of the country by remembering him.
*We have to get our country free from poverty, illiteracy, unemployment and various social and religious evils”- Vij*
The Home Minister said that today our youth are getting trapped in various and our youth has been clatches by drugs. He said that “I want that our youth should also have the courage to do something for the country like Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh, who laid down his life to get freedom for the country.
It is true that today we are free but today We have not got freedom in many ways, we have to get freedom from poverty, we have to get freedom from illiteracy, we have to get freedom from unemployment, we have to give freedom to our country from various social and religious evils also.
Sh. Vij said that Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh never bowed down and bravely fought the British to get freedom for the country as two generations of his had shed their blood for freedom. That is why today I call upon the youth of the country from here that we have to remember the struggle, sacrifice of Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh so that we can take our country forward on the path of development.
*Bhagat Singh ji refused to write an apology even after the death sentence*
The Home Minister said that his thoughts can be gauged from the letters and articles written by Bhagat Singh during his jail days in which he expressed grief over the distances brought by caste and religion in Indian society.
He also thought of the attack of an Indian on the weaker section of the society as strictly as the atrocities committed by an Englishman. Bhagat Singh knew Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and English as well as Bengali, which he had learned from Batukeshwar Dutt. He believed that his martyrdom would further upset the Indian people and this could hardly happen if he was alive. For this reason, he refused to write an apology even after being sentenced to death.
Sh. Vij mentioned that in a letter sent to his brother Kultar before the execution, Bhagat Singh had written-
*unhen yah fikr hai haradam, nayee tarz-e-zafa kya hai?*
*hamen yah shauk hai dekhen, sitam kee intaha kya hai?*
*dahar se kyon khafa rahen, charkh ka kya gila karen.*
*saara jahaan adoo sahee, aao! muqaabala karen.*
His bravery can be gauged from these passionate lines.
It is also well known that — can you imagine, a government, which ruled such a large part of the world, it was said that the sun never set under his rule. Such a powerful government was intimidated by a 23 year old young man.
“And he was none other than Bhagat Singh ji.”
He said that while going to the capital punishment, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were singing with fun –
*mera rang de bantee chhola, mera rang de.*
*mera rang de basantee chhola. rang de basantee mi chol.*

He said that our state government also organizes programs at the state and district level in the name of such great men so that the learning and teachings of such great men and the spirit of struggle and sacrifice can be awakened among the people and brotherhood and integrity can be created in the country.
*Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi started the “UDAN” scheme – Vij*
He said that the present government has taken various steps for air travel and related works and in this episode, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has started “UDAN” scheme so that common citizens of the country can also travel by plane.
Haryana has also taken various steps in terms of air connectivity, under which air travel from Ambala to Srinagar will be started soon. In addition, a terminal will also be built at Ambala at a cost of Rs 40 crore.
Similarly, passenger terminal of the airport has been started at Hisar and it has also been decided to upgrade Hisar Civil Aerodrome. The state has aerodromes at Narnaul, Bhiwani and Pinjore. He said that our government wants that heli service should also be started for various tourist destinations of the country, for this the state government is continuously making efforts.

On this occasion, the Governor of Haryana, Badaru Dattatreya, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Banwari Lal Purohit, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Sardar Bhagwant Mann, the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, General VK Singh, the Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana Dushyant Chautala, MP Smt.
