Bandaru Dattatraya launched the Corbevax vaccination campaign for the children in the age group of 12 to 14 years

Panchkula : Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Wednesday launched the Corbevax vaccination campaign for the children in the age group of 12 to 14 years from the Primary Health Centre, Kot village, Panchkula district, on the occasion of the National Immunization Day. The dosage of Corbevax vaccine was given to children by the health workers in the presence of Shri Dattatraya.Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Shri Rajiv Arora and Deputy Commissioner, Shri Mahavir Kaushik, Dr Veena Singh, Director General Health Services, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.Extending his best wishes on the occasion of National Immunization Day, Shri Dattatraya said that thanks to the hard work and commitment of doctors, paramedical staff, ASHA workers and other health workers, all vaccination campaigns in the country and the state have been successful. He said that in today’s time, vaccination is very important to prevent serious diseases.He said that pregnant women and new born children must get vaccinated, adding that 100 per cent vaccination will ensure that our children are healthy. This will build a strong India and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream of a healthy India will also come true, he said.

Shri Dattatraya said that the success of Covid-19 vaccination in India is being discussed all over the world. By administering more than 181 crore doses of indigenous vaccines, India has shown the world its ability to meet any challenge. He said that more than 98 crore first and 82 crore second doses have been given. Similarly, 5.70 crore doses have been given to children in the age group of 15 to 18 years.The Governor appreciated the fact that so far more than 4.14 crore anti-corona doses of vaccine have been given in Haryana, which is more than the national average. Now an anti-corona vaccine – Corbevax – has been prepared for children in the age group of 12 to 14 years.Earlier, Shri Dattatraya honoured the ASHA workers and nursing staff who did excellent work during Covid-19 vaccination. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Shri Rajiv Arora said that the Haryana government is conscious of vaccination. For over two years, doctors, paramedical and other staff of the Health Department have made significant contributions in the management of Covid-19 pandemic, which has earned national appreciation.Director General, Health Services, Dr Veena Singh thanked Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya for launching the vaccination campaign in Panchkula for the children in the age group of 12 to 14 years.
