Jai Ram Thakur announces opening of Polytechnic College in Bhadrota

Announces upgradation of PHC Jamni to CHC

Mandi : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a largely attended public meeting at Gaunta in Bhadrota area of Sarkaghat Vidhan Sabha area in Mandi district today announced opening of Polytechnic College in Sub Tehsil Bhadrota and upgradation of Primary Health Centre Jamni to Community Health Centre. He also announced opening of Combined Office Building at Dhopi in Sub Tehsil Bhadrota and construction of helipad at Gaunta (Bhadrota). Chief Minister said the Covid-19 pandemic adversely affected the world economy and our Country and State were no exception. He said that timely and right initiatives and steps taken by the dynamic Prime Minister Narendra Modi ensured that the spread of this virus was contained to a great extent. He said that the State Government during this period virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs 4200 crore in over 42 Assembly constituencies of the State. Jai Ram Thakur said that during the lockdown lakhs of people of the State got stranded in different parts of the country. He said that as many as 2.50 lakh people were safely brought home by the present State Government. He said that thousands of youths were brought home from Goa by special trains and from Kota in Rajasthan by sending 60 HRTC buses. He said that even during the pandemic, the opposition leaders were busy in politicizing this sensitive issue.

He said that Prime Minister provided over 500 ventilators to the State to ensure that there was no dearth of better medical care to the patients. He said that on the other hand the Congress leaders sent bills worth Rs 12 crore to its Central leadership as this amount was spent by the Congress in the State to provide masks and sanitizers etc, to the people of the State which was not true. He said that the State Government has set a target of achieving cent percent coverage of first dose of vaccine by 31st of this month. He urged the people of the State to come forward to get them vaccinated to protect themselves from this dangerous virus. Several individuals and organization also presented cheques to the Chief Minister as contribution towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on the occasion.Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 40 crore at Gaunta in Sarkaghat Assembly constituency of Mandi district today. Earlier, he dedicated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs 100 crore in Baldwara area of Sarkaghat constituency. He inaugurated Rs. 26.46 crore LWSS for group villages in GP Ropri Chowk, Pardha, Hawani and Janjhel in tehsil Sarkaghat in Jal Jeevan Mission and Rs. 1.98 crore Baggi Khudi Khahan Chanauli road under PMGSY. He performed bhoomi pujan of Rs. 6.33 crore metalling and tarring on Dabrewal Jamanwal Ban Mangoh road under PMGSY and Rs. 4.58 crore Mahila Mandal Bhawan Kass Dumhar Panyali Takred road under NABARD.Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur thanked the Chief Minister for inaugurating Rs. 26.46 crore LWSS for group villages in Gram Panchayat Ropri Chowk, Pardha, Hawani and Janjhel in tehsil Sarkaghat under Jal Jeevan Mission.

He said that this scheme would go a long way in solving the water problem of the area. He said that drinking water and irrigation projects worth Rs 488 crore were being implemented and sanctioned in the Sarkaghat area during the last three years.MLA Sarkaghat Col. Inder Singh, while welcoming the Chief Minister to his home constituency, thanked him for dedicating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs 140 crores in Sarkaghat Vidhan Sabha area today. He said that Bhadrota area was one of the most remote area of his constituency, but it has witnessed unprecedented development during the present tenure of the State Government. He thanked the Chief Minister for always being considerate towards the developmental needs of the people of the area. He thanked the Chief Minister for announcing opening of Polytechnic College and construction of Combined Office Building in the area. Zila Parishad Member Chander Mohan Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He urged the people of the area to give their wholehearted support to the Chief Minister to ensure that pace of development go uninterrupted. MLA Balh Inder Singh Gandhi, Sundernagar Organizational District BJP President Dalip Thakur, Chairman Zila Parishad Mandi Pal Verma, Chairman Waqf Board Raj Bali, Mandal BJP President Nisha Thakur, BJP leader Dr Seema Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Arindam Chaudhary, Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri were present on the occasion among others.
