3-day Digital Mela witnesses huge public participation at Ramban

Ramban : The 3-Day Digital Mela culminated in district Ramban with huge public participation where different departments imparted awareness to visitors about the online services at their stalls.
The concluding day function of the 3-day Digital Mela was attended by President, Municipal Council, Ramban, Sunita Sumbria; Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma along with PRIs and officers.
GM, DIC, Vishwajeet; Chief Horticulture Officer, Anil Gorka; CAHO, Dr. Bharat Bhushan; DSHO, Vikas Gupta; Lead District Manager, Rashid Sofi; BDO, Munir Choudhary ARTO, Samrinder Singh; DIO NIC, Prashant Kumar and other attended the programme.
The people, especially students of the GDC Ramban visited the stalls established by the different departments and got acquainted with various Government services available online.Meanwhile, the officers of various departments including Motor Vehicle, Municipal Ramban and Bankers sensitized the visitors about the online schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, President MC said that “Digital J&K week has showcased citizen-centric IT initiatives that have helped in bringing about greater transparency in governance and ease of living for citizens. Digi-Mela in districts witnessed huge public participation besides generating awareness about digital solutions and new technologies among people, she added.
The ADDC said that the objective of celebrating Digital J&K Week was to popularize and promote the e-Services made available by the Government to the general masses.
During the programme, people were sensitized about the 209 On-Line services integrated with Rapid Assessment System (RAS) through PowerPoint presentations and hands-on training, he added.
The ADDC said that Digi Mela has achieved its mandate by showcasing citizen-centric IT initiatives.“The District Administration in collaboration with National Informatics Centre, Ramban organized a series of informative and result-oriented events throughout the digital mela celebration across the District” he added.
