7 day NSSH Exhibition concludes at Samba

Samba : Seven day National Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) Exhibition concluded here today. District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria was the Chief Guest at the valedictory function organized by the J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB).  Vivek Attri, FA & CAO KVIB; Dr. Sandeep Kotwal, Executive Officer KVIB Samba; AEO Planning, Chairman Municipal Committee Samba, Executive officer MC Samba and other senior Officers from other Departments were present on the occasion.A total twenty five stalls were displayed in the exhibition, where SC/ST entrepreneurs displayed their products which included readymade garments, honey, Bamboo furniture, pickles, Chakki Atta, furniture, track suits, Khadi clothes, Ayurvedic medicines, BasholiPashmina, Samba bedsheets, carry bags and masala etc.,Besides, different departments like, Animal husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Handlooms and Handicraft  Departments also displayed their products in the exhibition.Speaking on the occasion, District Development Commissioner lauded the role of KVIB in providing job opportunities to the unemployed youth and especially encouraging SC/ST entrepreneurs under NSSH programme. He called for organizing more programmes like awareness camps, workshops etc. under NSSH for the betterment of SC ST community. He stressed on mass production and advised to constitute a single window in collaboration with DC office, to provide a sustainable and profitable platform for all the entrepreneurs.  District Officer KVIB highlighted the basic aim of NSSH and other schemes being implemented by the Board. He said that exhibitions provide a platform to SC ST MSME unit holders to exhibit and sell their products at reasonable and profitable rates. He informed that during the seven days long exhibition the unit holders registered a record sale of Rs. 8.25 Lakh and booked orders for Rs. 1.25 lakh. Earlier, DC Samba inspected the products displayed by the SC/ ST MSMEs.
