ADDC hands over keys of vehicles to 9 Mumkin beneficiaries

Udhampur : Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Kanta Devi today handed over the keys of newly purchased Load carriers to nine unemployed youth under “MUMKIN” Scheme here at function held in District Employment & Counseling Centre.The flagship MUMKIN Scheme under the Mission Youth is an initiative of J&K government to facilitate the youth to establish a sustainable livelihood line in the transport sector by providing them financial assistance for purchase of new small commercial vehicles.Assistant Director Employment Udhampur (Nodal Officer), Priyanka Gupta, was among several other officials of District Employment & Counseling Centre Udhampur who attended the ceremony.

The AD Employment informed that nine vehicles were distributed to unemployed youth of district Udhampur out of which (02) beneficiaries availed small commercial vehicles of Mahindra (06) beneficiaries availed small commercial vehicles of Tata and (01) Ashoka Leyland company respectively.Informing about the scheme, she said that the applicants have full liberty to choose any small commercial vehicle of any approved models/makes of his/her choice under “MUMKIN” Scheme. The Mission Youth, J&K shall provide an amount of Rs.80000/ or 10% of on-road price of the vehicle (whichever is less) as upfront subsidy. The vehicle manufacturer shall also provide an upfront special discount, not less than the amount of subsidy. The banking partner shall extend the loan facility to the extent of 100% of the on-road price of the vehicle to be purchased without asking for any collateral security.
