Advisor Farooq Ahmed Khan interacts with students of SKUAST Jammu

Urges them to become job creators instead of Job seekers after completing studies

Jammu : Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan today interacted with students of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology- Jammu (SKUAST-J).He urged them to be job providers instead of job seekers after completion of their degrees. He asked them to use creative ideas and skills for development of entrepreneurship and for increasing local agricultural production.He also assured the students that the administration will provide every possible support to them for making innovations in their field.During interaction with the students he discussed in detail about the various progressive initiatives being undertaken by the administration of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.

The Advisor also answered queries being put up by the students and said that Government of J&K has started Mission Youth to provide better livelihood facilities by providing liberal financial assistance for starting own businesses. He said in every district the district Youth centres have been created with the active involvement of youth to address their demands.These District Youth Centres are aimed to provide opportunities to unemployed educated youth to explore and recognize intellectual and professional potentials besides providing counselling and systematic assistance through experts.He further elucidated that the Mission will also focus on providing new opportunities of skill development, social interactions and overall development of younger population in all the districts of J&K.
