Time to isolate politics of deceit, deception in larger interest of J&K: Surjeet Singh Slathia

Jammu : Pradesh BJP Vice President and former minister Surjeet Singh Slathia today said that time has come to isolate those believing in politics of deceit and deception, adding that positive political discourse with peace and development as its core is in the larger interest of Jammu and Kashmir.
Interacting with the Conveners and Co-Conveners of the BJP’s Legal, Human Rights and Refugee Cell here this afternoon, Mr Slathia advised those wanting to serve the people to learn bidding adieu to politics of deceit, deception and treachery.
Hobnobbing with separatists and secessionists and at the same time craving for enjoying the loaves of power speaks volumes about the double standards that has brought J&K to a situation of morass and despondency among the people, he said.
Mr Slathia said that such a mindset has no place now anymore, as deceit and double standards in politics have outlived their age. Those believing in remaining in the cradle of power by India bashing must come of age and stop behaving like ostriches as their political gimmickry and reactionary politics stands fully exposed before the people, who want development, jobs, roads, dependable power and water supply.
Prosperity and progress of J&K has never been their agenda whether in or outside the government. Instead they have been dividing the people and the regions to push themselves in the system of governance, he added.
Mr Slathia urged the people to teach a lesson to the political class with vested interest and to come under the umbrella of the BJP for holistic and inclusive development as per the visionary agenda of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.
It is time for the people of J&K to become a part of India’s growth story in an era when the nation is becoming a global leader and treading the path of emerging as a super power. He said the mere thought of being the part of the largest political party of the world in the largest democracy in the comity of nations brings a sense of pride among the people.
Mr Slathia said that the BJP is committed to holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir with every segment of the society getting equal opportunities to progress and prosper. In this regard, several initiatives have already been taken and more are in the pipeline with focus on giving fillip to growth and generating avenues for employment.
He said the people of this part of the country cannot lag behind as they have resolved to come out of the dark tunnel of exploitation to the new era of peace, progress and development.The Conveners and the Co-Conveners of the Cell also spoke on the occasion and shared their views on various issues.
