BW Future Cities Conclave 2021 : CEO JaKeGA visualises greater role of CFCs in future

Jammu : Amit Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Jammu & Kashmir eGovernance Agency (JaKeGA) today mentioned greater role for Common Service Centres (CSCs) in coming times, especially in the light of ongoing Corona Crisis wherein minimisation of human interface has become the need of the hour.Amit was sharing similar thoughts, as a Keynote Speaker, during inaugural session on “Digital India for Future Cities : Transformation of Urban Livelihood for Next Normal” in Business World Smart Cities 2021 Virtual Conclave wherein Officers from MeiTY, GoI, top experts of the IT Industry and Heads of eGov from different States/UTs participated.Amit Sharma, CEO JaKeGA talked about the key initiatives taken by the Agency in J&K during past few years which include successfully setting-up of Common Service Center 1.0, State Data Center, eOffice implementation across the board in UT, creating Digital Village Centres, State Services Delivery Gateway (SSDG) for 29 G2C Services, Domicile Application, Mumkin, Awam ki Baat, JK Pulse, JK Sparrow, SWAN, etc which has brought great relief to the citizens of J&K. He explained that JaKeGA has the mandate of steering eGov reforms in J&K and this premier eGov Agency of the UT has been pridefully doing so and lived upto the expectations of the public in yester years and intends to do much more for public good in coming times.The CEO JaKeGA further mentioned that the Next Normal as a Transformational Tool for Livelihood, either Urban or Rural, should be Minimal or Nil Human Interface which can be possible with successful launch of Common Facility Centres (next version) which can offer online all services related to various departments to a common citizen, which shall be available at the click of a button, either through PCs or Mobile Phones without taking the botheration of visiting Government Offices for availing such services. He said that Team JaKeGA has already been directed to develop such linkage tools in a time-bound manner for successful launch of this Model, as this is the vision of the entire Union Territory Administration led by none other than Hon’ble LG, J&K himself.Amit also mentioned that the working scenario is changing fast due to ongoing Digital Transformation Mission in Smart Cities and the broader vision of JaKeGA is towards Digital Inclusion of all citizens of the UT, irrespective of the geographical boundaries or locations in the Union Territory. He also complimented the organisers such as BW and similar Groups who play a vital role by taking such initiatives in shaping-up the public opinion and providing a common platform to IT experts towards shaping up Future Policies for implementing eGovernance reforms across the length and breadth of the nation.Other speakers who shared their ideas in the all-important Session alongwith CEO, JaKeGA Amit Sharma included Saurabh Gaur, Joint Secretary Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MietY), Government of India, Santosh Mishra, Transport Commissioner, Government of Tamil Nadu and Santulan Chaubey, Joint Director, Information Technology, Government of Delhi. The session was very professionally moderated by Noor Fathima Warsia, Group Editorial Director, BW Business World.
