DC Udhampur holds public outreach camp in Block Tikri

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna today conducted an extensive tour of Block Tikri of District Udhampur and listened to public issues and demands at a public outreach camp held under the aegis of Weekly Block Diwas meeting.
The DC inaugurated Rural Haat and various other development schemes at Village Mand. BDC Chairman, Nisha Sharma Block Tikri; DDC Councilor, Ashu Sharma, Sarpanches, Panches, besides a large number of general public hailing from adjoining Panchayats projected several demands and problems being faced by them.
They demanded augmentation of drinking water supply, improvement in power supply scenario, establishment of Veterinary centre, addressing Mobile network problem in Ladda, renovation of dilapidated roads, Shifting of wine shop to another location, posting of JE, Construction of panchayat Ghar, Construction of playfield, Construction of overhead foot bridge near GHSS -Tikri, Installation of mobile towers, Bringing Tikri area on tourism map etc.
The DDC gave a patient hearing to the demands and problems raised by the PRIs and general public and passed on-spot directions to the concerned departments for redressal of the same. She asked the officers to take first hand appraisal of all the grievances of PRIs and redress the same on priority.
The DC redressed many grievances on the spot by passing directions to the concerned officers. She stressed upon the officers to work with dedication and sincerity and redress genuine grievances of the people pertaining to their respective departments possible at their level within the specified time frame.BDC Chairman, DDC member and general public presented a detailed memorandum to DC and thanked for holding the public outreach camp in the area.
