District Administration Kupwara organizes function to celebrate Digital Week

Kupwara : The District Administration Kupwara today organized an impressive function at Government Degree College (GDC) Kupwara to witness the launching ceremony of Digital J&K Week by LG through live streaming.
The function was attended by Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori; Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir; ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan; DDC Member Hyhama, Haji Sonaullah Khan, BDC Chairpersons, PRIs, officers from administration, besides, large number of school and college students.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the stalls installed by various departments at the venue. He also inspected the stalls one by one and enquired about the online services the departments are providing.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected the Aadhaar Registration stall of CSC, J&K Bank, DIC, Social Welfare, Labour Department, Finance department, PDD and other departments.
He asked the departments to provide detailed information about online services of their respective departments and demonstrate the applications during the Digi Mela.It was informed that 25 stalls have been installed by various departments for dissemination of information regarding availability and usage of online services.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that over 200 services have been made available online for the public, which can revolutionize e-governance.
He said 10am to 4pm service has now changed into 24×7 offices and delivery of services. Any person from anywhere can apply online for any service. There is no need to visit any office. One can simply track and monitor things online.
Later, from the venue, IEC Vans mounted with PAS and hoardings were dispatched for Lolab, Kralpora and Handwara areas to generate awareness among general masses regarding the availability of more than 200 online services. People were asked to avail the online facilities.
In addition, quiz programmes, painting competition and nukkad natak were presented by children of different schools of Kupwara on the subject. J&K Bank also demonstrated banking service at the occasion. Other departments also demonstrated their services in the stalls.
