Expert talk on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunity” held at GCW Udhampur

Udhampur : To promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the Institution through multitudinous modes, a one day expert talk on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunity” was today organised by I Innovation Council (IIC) of Government College for Women(GCW), Udhampur here on college campus.
The Program targeted to provide undergraduate students and faculty members opportunities to expand their dexterities in various significant facets involved in building Career Opportunities in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The College Principal, Dr. Monika Sharma was the Chief Guest. The programme was held under the supervision Kewal Kumar Vice-president IIC, GCW Udhampur J&K(UT) and Binny Kumar, (Convener), Innovation activity Coordinator, NIRF Coordinator
The resource persons on the occasion were Dr. Vipul Chalotra, HOD, Department of Commerce, from Government Degree College Udhampur and Shubham Sharma founder “The Kalari factory”, a successful entrepreneur and innovator.
Dr. Monika Sharma appreciated the organizers for organizing such expert talks in educational institutions, which would help in creating awareness among students as well as common people about innovation and entrepreneurship in the district.
Resource person, Dr. Vipul discussed the importance of having a clear vision and understanding the risks associated with starting a business. He also highlighted the need for creativity and problem-solving skills to succeed in the world of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Later, Shubham Sharma founder “The Kalari factory”, a successful entrepreneur and innovator, shared his insights on the opportunities and challenges of pursuing a career in these fields.
The audience was inspired by his success story and the advice he shared. Attendees were encouraged to think outside the box and take risks in order to achieve their goals. The program ended with the formal vote of thanks presented by Arun Gupta(librarian).
More than 120 students attended the event. Among others, Kewal Kumar(Vice President IIC), Arun Gupta, Dr. Yash Paul, Dr. Shweta Sharma, Rajeev Singh, Yash Kumar, Tania Mahajan, other faculty members, members of Institutional Innovation council and large number of students were present on the occasion.
