MTMP 2.0 concludes with inauguration of several projects at MC Ganderbal

Ganderbal : On day two of ambitious programme of the government, My Town My Pride (MTMP) 2.0, Commissioner Secretary Social Welfare (SWD), Sheetal Nanda inaugurated several projects to a tune of Rs 12.40 crore in several wards of Municipal Council Ganderbal.
On the culmination day of MTMP 2.0, Commissioner Secretary who is visiting officer to the district visited several wards of the Municipal Council Ganderbal where she inaugurated several ambitious projects and dedicated them to the locals.
At Duderhama, Commissioner Secretary inaugurated Clock Tower constructed at the cost of Rs 35 lakh. She also inaugurated newly constructed Bus Adda constructed at the cost of Rs 12.5 crore near SSP office Ganderbal.
Meanwhile she also inaugurated District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) at Hope Disability Centre (NGO) Wayil. On the occasion, Sheetal Nanda visits various sections of DDRC and enquired about the facilities being available to the persons with disabilities.
She was informed that services available under DDRC would include survey and identification, awareness, assistive devices, aids and appliances, therapeutic services, surgical corrections besides counselling.
During the inauguration of these projects, Commissioner Secretary was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir, Commissioner Labour Department, Ab Rashid War, SSP Ganderbal, Nikhil Borkar, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, Councilors and other officers.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Secretary also witnessed several sports activities being held at Qamaria Ground in tennis (girls), Tug of War, Kabaddi and other held under the banner of MTMP 2.0 where she also felicitated the winning teams.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Secretary applauded the Youth Services and Sports for organizing sports activities which provide platform to the local youth to show their talent and also helps to keep them away from social evils.
Later, she participated in a cultural program held in the auditorium of Boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal in which various students presented different theme based cultural activities who enthralled the audience with their performances.
Earlier, Commissioner Secretary also kick started plantation drive within the lawn of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal under Green J&K initiative.
