Jammu : Lt General MV Suchindra Kumar on Tuesday took over as the General Officer Commanding of the Army’s Jammu-based 16 Corps, also knows as White Knight corps.”Lt Gen Suchindra Kumar took over the command of the elite White Knight Corps from Lt Gen Harsha Gupta,” a defence statement said.”Lt Gen Harsha Gupta, on relinquishing the command, laid a wreath at Ashwamedh Shaurya Sthal at the Nagrota Military Station to commemorate the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation and called upon all ranks to continue to strive for excellence.”On assuming command of the White Knight Corps, Lt Gen Suchindra Kumar said it was an honour to command such an elite formation with a rich history.”He exhorted all ranks to continue working with the utmost zeal and enthusiasm and always remain combat-ready to thwart the nefarious designs of our adversaries and inimical forces while in complete synergy with the civil administration and paramilitary forces.”
