Bhaderwah : In pursuance to the National calendar and under directions of J&K Legal Services Authority, A National Lok Adalat was organised in District Doda by the District Legal Services Authority, Bhaderwah under the supervision and guidance of Chairman DLSA, Bhadarwah Sunit Gupta and Secretary DLSA, Bhaderwah Mudasar Farooq.
In the said National Lok Adalat, Criminal Compoundable Cases, Matrimonial cases, Maintenance, Cheque Bounce. Civil, Recovery, labour, PUS Matters, MACT-Litigation, Bank Cases and Pre Litigation cases and other cases were taken up before six benches across District Doda in the court complexes of Bhaderwah, Doda, Munsiff court Thathri and Munsiff Court Gandoh.
A total 1110 cases were taken up out of which 773 cases of different nature mentioned supra were settled by amicable settlement in presence of parties.
An amount of Rs 5782450 was settled in bank recovery, money recovery & MACT Cases with the efforts of the presiding officers of Courts, Bar members of the respective courts and representatives of banks and insurance companies.
Fine of Rs 274300 was also recovered. Judicial officers, members of Bar, revenue officers, bank managers of various banks, representatives of various insurance companies, officers of PHE, PDD, parties of the cases and people at large participated in the said National Lok Adalat.
