Open District Kho Kho Championship 2022-23 begins in Udhampur

Udhampur : Open District Kho Kho Championship 2022-23 commenced today here at District Police Line and Government Degree College Boys Udhampur. As many as 25 teams from different institutions including colleges, private clubs and higher secondary schools are participating in the Kho Kho championship 2022- 23. The students were enthusiastic and participated with full zeal. The organising executive body of district Kho Kho association Udhampur organised the 2nd open Kho Kho championship.
Additional Deputy Commissioner , Mohammed Sayed Khan was the Chief Guest and Assistant Commissioner revenue Mohd Rafiq Jaral and Anwaar ul Haq, Additional SP were Guests of honour, while Dr. Ranjeet Kotwal, ADC Udhampur, Dr. Vijay Basnotra, CMO, Kanika Gupta, Distt Social Welfare Officer, Dalip Abrol, Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council Udhampur, S. Surjeet Singh, Jt. Secretary DGPC Udhampur, Suresh Khajuria, President Badminton Association, Sheikh Tanveer, President Kabaddi Association and many more were present in the ongoing Kho Kho championship.
The KHO KHO championship was organised under the supervision of District Kho Kho Association in collaboration with J&K Kho Kho Association under the aegis of J&K Sports Council. The Girls HSS Udhampur beat Indira Shishu Mandir by 3 Pts; JK Public HSS defeated Nursing College by q Pt; AOC HSS beat Nursing College A by 3 pts; GDC Girls B beat DPS Udhampur by 1 pt ; HSS Sewna beat GDC Neli Nalah by 4 pts; GCW Udhampur beat Baskar Degree College by 1pt.
In Men’s Section AOC beat Nursing Club A by 12pts; Neeli Nalah College beat JK Public HSS by 13 Pts; Indira Shishu Jib beat DPS Udhampur by Inning and 11 Pts; Happy Model HSS beat Nursing College B by Inning and 16 Pts; GDC Boys Udhampur 2 beats AOC by 9Pts and Neeli Nalah College beat Baskar College by 8 Pts.
The matches were officiated by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raman Kumar, Sanjay Sharma, Raj Kumar Sharma, Raj Kumar Dogra, Sourav Sharma, Ravi Kumar,Pooja Sharma, Jyotika Sharma all from department of Youth Services and Sports office Udhampur. The stage proceedings were conducted by Bhoopinder Singh.
