Deputy Commissioner holds Review Meeting of RDD and other allied departments

Anantnag: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, K.K Sidha today chaired a meeting of officers of Rural Development Department (RDD), Labour, Skill Development, EDI, Social Welfare and other allied departments.The officers of RDD apprised the DC about the performance of labour budget,DSC Enrolment status, status of wage payment during financial year 2020 and Geo tagging besides performance under PMAY.The Assistant Commissioner Labour highlighted the departments performance in terms of registrations besides other achievements of the department.Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed upon the officers to achieve the cent percent goals in all schemes launched by the government to benefit the targeted people.He said that the departments should speed up their developmental process and timely redressal of the peoples grievances and any delay in this regard will be strictly dealt under law. While addressing the Labour Department officers, the DC stressed them to register all the skilled and deserving workers and aware the people about the schemes launched for their upliftment besides Assistant Commissioner Labour was also given the target to be achieved within the stipulated time.For the first time in UT of Jammu and Kashmir a composite , multi dimensional , multi skilled , multi facilitated , multi result oriented social centre will be constructed in the district with all facilities for deserving, needy, hopeful and ambitious people who want to live a dignified life and want to be supporting hands even for others.The Deputy Commissioner said that all the departments will have to work like a team to achieve their social goals and added that in this centre under one roof all types of job oriented courses, trainings will be imparted to the applicants as per their wishes and market need.He said that all possible financial, physical assistance will be provided to the people irrespective of their cast creed and sex.The DC directed the officers to involve the local Auqafs, panches, sarpanchs, councillors, religious personalities in identifying the social indicators to ensure implementation of government schemes and SOPs with regard to Covid-19 and unlocking thereof. The meeting was attended by the ACD Anantnag, all BDOs of the district, Social Welfare Officer, EDI officers, bank officers and other concerned officers.
