Legal Services Awareness programme on ‘Empowerment of Citizens’ held at Bandipora

Bandipora : A legal services awareness camp was today organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora regarding Empowerment of Citizens through legal services at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.
The programme was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Waseem Raja.Dy SP. Headquarters, Bandipora, Shafaat Ahmad, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Bandipora Mohammad Rafiq, District Social Welfare Officer, Bandipora Zonal Education Officers and PO, NIC were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Bandipora said that the aim of today’s programme is to create awareness in the community about their rights and different welfare schemes and laws enacted for empowerment of citizens.
ADC Bandipora also stressed on conduct of more such Awareness programmes/camps, door to door Outreach to spread awareness about Empowerment of Citizens in schools, colleges, villages and other Community levels.
Stalls of various departments were established to display various products and services on the occasion.Dy SP. Headquarters, Bandipora and Deputy CEO, Bandipora also delivered speech on constitutional and fundamental rights of Citizens, Free Legal Aid & Services provided by the Legal Aid Institutions, Digital Initiative for approaching Institutions, Legal Services Management System and remedies available under various laws.
In the Legal services programme,151 beneficiaries were benefited with Social welfare Schemes from the District Social welfare Office, Bandipora.The programme was attended by Staff Members of Education Department Bandipora, and Staff members of DLSA Bandipora, PLVs, Anganwadi Workers and staff of Mission Vatsalya.
