Chairperson DDC Saraf Singh inaugurates Rabta to Kanjli

Reasi : Chairperson District Development Council, Reasi, Saraf Singh today inaugurated Rabta to Kanjli road constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana at a cost of Rs 924 Lac.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson DDC said that Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is majorly funded by the central government to provide road connectivity to the rural areas.
He emphasized that this road will benefit villages Raabta, Bhagani, Prade, Gorda Chakkar and Dhanu of Mathwar Blocks having a population of more than 20000 people.
He further said that the road connectivity of Panchayat Kanjli will connect several villages like Shapano, Freh, Palel Pathi, Tanda, Dera Baba, Chumbian, Bhabbar Mansooh having population of more than 15000 peoples.
The Chairperson DDC added that providing road connectivity to rural and far flung areas of the Union Territory was the priority of the Central Government and for this many schemes are in place.
He reiterated that an effective road network is imperative for development of all other sectors. He said that the government was also committed to provide other basic amenities like uninterrupted electricity and regular water supply, education and health care to the people.
DDC Member Mathwar, Joginder Singh Langeh; BDC Katra, Sham Lal, BDC Mathwar, Sharifa Bibi; Sarpanch Kanjli, Sukhdev Singh; Omi Khajuria, Kali Das Verma and many others were present on this occasion.
