DDC Chairperson Udhampur starts work from new office
Udhampur: District Development Council, Chairperson, Udhampur Lal Chand today started work from the newly established office cum residential complex here in presence of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib.Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinod Kumar, Commandant 187 Battalian CRPF, Surinder Singh Rana and President Municipal Council Udhampur Dr. Jogeshwar Gupta were also present.Ceremonial inauguration, Yajna rituals and Kanya Pujan was also performed in presence of Councilors in the new office which is adjacent to the Tehsil Office Udhampur.While briefing the media persons, the Chairperson DDC dedicated the new office to the public of District Udhampur and assured that the District Development Council will work in full capacity to solve the issues/grievance of public in a time bound manner.
The DDC Chairperson thanked DDC Vice Chairperson, BDCs, DDCs and PRI members and general public for their cooperation and support in smooth running of the office of District Development Council.The DDC Chairperson was all praise for the District Administration and Deputy Commissioner in particular for the cooperation which District Development Council is receiving and expected that they will continue to extend same in future also for effective implementation of the developmental schemes.He highlighted the role of 3 tier of Panchayati system and stressed that it must work for providing maximum welfare to the society. The DDC Chairperson also thanked the media persons for highlighting public issues and disseminating information about the Government welfare schemes among the general public and sought same cooperation in future also.The Deputy Commissioner Udhampur also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the role of the 3-Tier Panchayati Raj System in the society.The DC Udhampur congratulated the DDC Chairperson for starting work from his new office. She assured all possible support from District Administration for effective working of his office as well as grievance redressal.
