Union Additional Secretary Land Resources reviews progress on digitization of land record in Jammu division

Sets March 2022 timeline for completion of task

Jammu : Additional Secretary, Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development Department Government of India, Hukum Singh Meena on Friday reviewed the progress of the digitization and computerization of land records under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) in Jammu division here at a meeting in Divisional Commissioner office with concerned officers.The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer; Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anshul Garg; Director Survey of India, Director Command Area Development, Chief Engineer Irrigation, Director Agriculture Production, Regional Director Survey and Land record, Consultant JaKLARMA, Senior Manager RamTech and other concerned officers.For speedy completion of the computerization of revenue records, he directed the officers to take up all remaining work in one go and set March 2022 deadline for the completion of 100 % work.During the meeting, the RamTech officials gave a detailed powerpoint presentation and apprised the Additional Secretary about the overall progress in Jammu. Pertinently, the ambitious Project to provide digital land titling guarantee to the land holders of Jammu and Kashmir was launched by floating Request For Proposal (RFP) in Public Domain on 27.06.2020 under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).

The Project includes Data Entry/Re-Entry/Conversion of all textual Records, Digitization (Vectorisation) of Cadastral Maps, (Mussavis), Survey/re-survey with the usage of CORS Net based methodology for updation of Land Records, integration with Record of Rights (RoR).The meeting was informed that 99% of revenue document records have been scanned and scanning of Revenue Maps has been completed, while 98% digitization of current maps of Jammu and Srinagar district has been completed while the work is in progress.It was further informed that work on Monumentation of Ground Control Points, DGPs survey on GCPS points, Updation of Jamabandies, Development of Cadastral Information system is 100 percent complete.The Additional Secretary directed the concerned officers to engage more vendors and club all the phases and complete the process at the earliest. He said that Government of India is ready to provide every possible support for early completion of the work.He further said that the Revenue Land Records play an important role in all developmental activities of various allied departments, so Jamabandies written and updated should be error free. He further asked the concerned officials to ensure close monitoring of the data to create an error free digitized record within the stipulated time frame.
