Union MoS Sanjeev Kumar Balyan visits far-flung villages of Samba

Samba : Continuing the public outreach initiative of the Central Government, Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan today visited Zero Line village Barota of Ramgarh and far-flung hilly village Goran of Sumb block in District Samba.The Union MoS while participating in the public outreach programme at Barota and Goran assured the delegations of Central Government’s commitment in resolving demands raised by the delegations.The MoS said that Mobile Animal Clinics shall be opened in each block to felicitate issues through on call services. The Minister also announced that special schemes for Fisheries and dairying would be thrust in far flung areas.During the visit, MoS e-inaugurated several development works executed by Rural Development and also e-foundation stone was also laid of Sheep and Goat extension centre type -III at Purmandal besides e-foundation stone for retrofitting of Swankha section under Jal Jeevan Mission at a cost of Rs 5.73 crore and improvement and augmentation of WSS at Sunjwan under Jal Jeevan Mission at a cost of Rs 2.28 crore in presence of Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma.

The MoS also inspected departmental stalls during his visit at Goran village wherein he exhorted upon all the locals to take maximum benefits from the Government sponsored schemes at their doorstep. On the occasion, MoS also distributed sanction letters under various centrally sponsored schemes of Social welfare, Fisheries, Sheep Department and others.During the visit District Development Council Chairman, Keshav Dutt Sharma; Vice Chairman DDC, Balwan Singh; Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ms. Anuradha Gupta; Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Doifode Sagar Dattaray; SSP Samba, Rajesh Sharma besides BDC chairman, DDC members Sarpanches and locals were also present.
