Workshop on PM-FME held at Ganderbal

Ganderbal : A workshop on promotion of Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Enterprises (PM-FME) was conducted today at Kirmaniya Farmers Producer Organization (KFPO) at Batwina which was attended by all line departments.
Dr. Umar Bin Farooq, SMS, FPO Ganderbal opened the session with deliberation on the working and support of the FFPO. Dr. Salman Rauoof Chalkoo, District Nodal Officer, PM-FME deliberated the importance of PM-FME and the financial benefits under the scheme for the farmer producer organizations.
Nazir Ahmed deliberated upon the banking formalities for coverage under PMFME. A debate on banking modalities was held with 65 members of the FPO, who were acquainted with all the possibilities for hassle free banking service.
Mehnaz Coordinator and Naureen, BPM, NRLM deliberated upon the processing and preservation of food produce. Various speakers also deliberated about the marketing avenues and possibilities of expansion of business with the help of different departments.
Dr. Sumina Ramzan, HDO, deliberated on the ODOP of the district and possibilities of expansion to make the ODOP product to be more extensive and familiar. The workshop ended with certificate distribution among participants.
