Swachh Bharat campaign: District Hospital Mohali ranks second in Punjab

S.A.S. Nagar : In the competition held under Kayakalap program under the ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign, District Hospital Mohali has secured the second position in Punjab. Eight other government health institutions in the district have also hit big.Celebrating the achievement by cutting a cake, Civil Surgeon Dr. Adarshpal Kaur said that under the Kayakalap program, health institutions are inspected every year on a number of criteria including hygiene, seating arrangements, decoration, staff dress, drinking water, park, medical facilities, overall hospital environment, etc. She said that on these criteria the district hospital has scored 80.2 percent marks out of 100. In the category of Primary Health Centers, PHC Boothgarh has secured first position in the district and eighth position in Punjab with 81% marks.Similarly Kharar Sub-Divisional Hospital has secured 10th position in Punjab with 81.1 percent marks and Sub-Divisional Hospital Dera Bassi has secured 17th position with 76.3 marks.

In the Community Health Center category, Lalru and Dhakoli hospitals have secured 34th position in Punjab with 77.30 percent marks. Similarly in the category of Urban Primary Health Center, the health centers at Majat and Mullanpur Garibdas have been ranked 4th and 12th in Punjab respectively. Health and Wellness Center Seneta has secured fourth position in Punjab with 74% marks.The Civil Surgeon commended the officers who worked hard for getting these important positions. She said the credit goes to these officers, among other staff, namely Dr. Daljit Singh Pradesi, District Family Welfare Officer Nidhi, SMO Dr. Vijay Bhagat, Dr. HS Cheema, Dr. Sangeeta Jain, Dr. Manohar Singh, Dr. Pomi Chatrath, Dr. Jaskirandeep Kaur, Dr. Naveen Kaushik, Dr. Surinderpal Kaur, Dr. Babandeep Kaur, Dr. Arun Bansal. She hoped that the officers would work harder and more diligently next time to bring all the institutions of the district to the number one position so that the people could get better health facilities in these institutions.
