Arvind Kejriwal visits CM Channi Constituency and meets farmers

He along with Bhagwant Mann interacted with farmers and inquired about damage caused to crops due to precocious rain

Sri Chamkaur Sahib : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and party’s Punjab unit President Bhagwant Mann visited Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s constituency Chamkaur Sahib.During his visit to the village, Kejriwal interacted with farmers, and inquired about the damage caused to crops due to precocious rain. Kejriwal asked them whether they want a change? All the farmers present there said in one voice, “This time we will bring change. You fight with courage. We will sacrifice our lives for you.” Kejriwal said that we only want your support, nothing else. We will bring change in Punjab together and make it prosperous again.Farmers told Kejriwal that unseasonal rain has damaged our crops.

It’s been two years since we have not received money for sugarcane. Youth of the area is unemployed. The condition of government schools and hospitals is terrible. The number of teachers is half the requirement. There are not enough doctors in the hospitals, and a shortage of medicines is also a matter of concern. Accusing Congress-Akali Dal leaders, farmers said that these leaders have nothing to do with people. They only visit during elections to seek votes. After listening to their grievances, Kejriwal said,” We will change Punjab as we have changed Delhi. We will make better schools and hospitals and provide good education and accessible (free) medical facilities to the people.” Like Delhi, Aam Admi Party will provide all the necessary facilities on priority to Punjab’s people to make their lives easy.
