Shimla:Governor Bandaru Dattatraya today interacted with district administration, Industrial Association and heads of major industrial units of the district Una through video conferencing from Raj Bhawan here today. He took stock of the COVID-19 situation in the district and got information about the problems being faced by the industrial units during this period.The Governor lauded the efforts of the district administration in fighting Corona pandemic. He said that the awareness campaign should be made more vigorous and confidence should be increased in the people. He said that it is necessary to continue economic activities and concerted efforts requires for that. He said that 20 lakh crore rupees has been given by the Prime Minister to make a “Self Reliant India”. He said that the district administration should ensure that the benefits of these schemes should reach to the lowest class of the society.Shri Dattatraya said that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) should get support from banks and others so that these enterprises can continue to work in these difficult times which will also provide employment and economic activities would also increase.
He asked Deputy Commissioner and the industrial association to submit report about workers. He urged the representatives of the industrial units to work according to demand and supply. He said that the leading departments fighting with corona pandemic should constitute a coordination committee and should share information fortnightly. He directed the district administration to coordinate the efforts of the state government to register Himachali youth coming from other states.He directed to increase the number of Corona tests, seek help of Non Governmental Organisations in domestic Violence cases, counselling services of religious heads and to make the border management smoother.Earlier Deputy Commissioner Una Sandeep Kumar apprised the Governor about prevailing situation of the district due to Corona pandemic. Superintendent of Police Kartikayan Gokul detailed the precautions being taken by the police administration and other challenges and border management. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Raman Sharma detailed about the health preparations and preparedness in the district.Chief Medical Officer of Una Dr. Raman Sharma and the representatives of the Industrial Association also shared their views on the occasion.Secretary to Governor Rakesh Kanwar was also present in the meeting.
