Cabinet Minister Aman Arora kick starts complete renovation of Shaheed Udham Singh ITI Sunam worth Rs. 3.27 crore

Sunam Udham Singh Wala : Punjab Information and Public Relations, Urban Development and Housing and New and Renewable Energy Sources Minister Aman Arora today laid the foundation of complete renovation of Shaheed Udham Singh Government ITI at a cost of Rs 3.27 crore here at the hometown of legendary martyr Shaheed Udham Singh.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that this industrial training institute, which was built in the hometown of Shaheed Udham Singh ji about 60 years ago, was completely neglected by the previous governments in terms of development and necessary reforms.
He said that immediately after the formation of the government in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, according to the promise made by the Aam Aadmi Party to revamp education sector, grants of Rs. 5.5 crore have been sanctioned for the holistic development of the campus.
He said that apart from the repair and renovation of the old sheds, new constructions, repair of internal roads, entry gate and covered car parking, necessary machinery will be purchased with the grant of Rs 3.27 crore. He said that along with this, a sports stadium is being constructed at a cost of about 2.25 crore rupees on the vacant site of this institution.
The Cabinet Minister said that in modern times, such institutions need to be kept up-to-date in order to nurture professional skills and adequate education to enable the youth to grab employment opportunities, while adding that understanding this need, a request was made to the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Maan which he accepted in the first instance and released the necessary funds.
He said that after the renovation of this industrial training institute, it will help the youth of the area to polish their professional skills and will also provide them a platform to actively participate in sports.Apart from this, the cabinet minister also handed over medical equipments to Sunam Civi Hospital which he has arranged under CSR funds from his friend.
He said that he was committed to provide better health facilities to the people of his constituency and will also work day in, day out to fulfil all the promises made with people. On this occasion, besides others, Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Jitendra Jorwal, SDM Jaspreet Singh, DSP Bharpoor Singh, Hardeep Singh Bharur, Ravi Kamal Goyal, Manpreet Bansal, Block President Mani Sarao, Jatinder Jain, Principal Ranjit Singh and and entire staff of ITI was present.
