Punjab government will take all possible efforts to get land and house back to the NRI family

Baghapurana/Moga : The UK-based NRI Punjabi family of village Rode is hopeful that their land and house under illegal occupation will be freed and handed over to them soon.
In this matter, the cabinet minister of the Department of NRI Affairs of Punjab Mr Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal himself reached the village Rode today and assured the victim’s family that the Punjab government will take all possible legal action in this matter.
Apart from this, strict legal action will be taken against every officer and person found guilty in this case.Talking to the media after visiting the land and house at village Rode, Cabinet Minister Mr Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that UK resident late Harnam Singh and his wife Jaspal Kaur have 17.5 acres of land and ancestral house in the village.
It is allegedly illegally occupied by a powerful family in the same village. Some government officials posted at Tehsil Baghapurana in the year 2019 have also been involved in the case.
He said that the victim’s family kept wandering door to door during the previous government to get their land, but no one held their hand.
Harnam Singh has died. Now, this battle is being fought by his relative Mr Surjit Singh.He announced that all possible efforts will be made by the Punjab government to get their land and house back to the victim’s family by taking legal action in this matter.
Apart from this, legal action will be taken against every officer involved in this case even if some of them have retired. He instructed the Deputy Commissioner Mrs Poonamdeep Kaur, who was present on the occasion, that the victim’s family should be given possession of their house in the next two days.
Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the NRIs can submit their applications to us through their relatives living in Punjabi villages and the government will resolve their issues in due time.
He said that the Punjab government will try to establish special fast-track courts for the cases of NRIs as soon as possible so that the cases of the NRI Punjabis can be settled in the minimum time.
He said that nodal officers are being appointed by the Punjab government to hear the issues of the NRI Punjabis at the district level who will ensure timely and appropriate resolution of the complaints of the NRI Punjabis only.
Taking the Congress leader Mr Pratap Singh Bajwa with a strong hand, he said that the congress government supported the thieves instead of freeing the lands of the NRI Punjabi families from illegal occupation.
Now, instead of criticizing the AAP government, they should apologize to the victims. Baghapurana MLA Mr Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, Additional DGP Mr PK Sinha, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Subhash Chandra, SDM Mr Ram Singh and others were present on this occasion.
