Ludhiana : District and Sessions Judge-cum-District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) chairman Manish Singhal on Wednesday distributed ration kits among 100 transgenders at the Courts Complex.Presiding over the function, District and Sessions Judge listened to their grievances and assured fulsome support to the transgenders and appealed to them to undergo skill training program so that they can earn livelihood like others.He said that transgenders are an integral part of society and the Covid-19 pandemic has almost snatched their livelihood. CJM-cum-Secretary DLSA PS Kaleka said that DLSA has issued a helpline 0161-2400051 for the assistance of the transgenders. He said that DSLA has already helped 250 transgenders with ration kits so far.He said a person having any kind of problem can contact this number and DLSA would all possible efforts to solve their complaints in a time-bound manner.
