Extensive planning to prevent covid from spreading further in the villages : Deepti Uppal

Kapurthala : Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal said that as per the orders of the Punjab government a comprehensive plan has been chalked out to prevent further spread of covid in the villages, under which every house in the village would be reached to aware the people against the ill effects of covid , precautions and its treatment.Taking part in the virtual function organized by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to address the sarpanchas of Punjab on covid control, Deputy commissioner said that in Kapurthala district the testing in rural areas has been expedited and the number of daily tests has crossed 3000.She appealed to the villagers to set up “Theekri Pahras ” on the entrances to the villages so that the corona could not spread with the entry of any covid affected outsider into the village.She also said that the boards showing emergency contacts in covid, awarness materials would be set up at common places in villages.Deputy Commissioner said that the Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh had announced a special grant of Rs. 10 lakh to be given to the village having 100 % vaccination.Apart from this the Punjab Chief Minister has also announced to allow the Sarpanches to spend from the Panchayat Fund for emergency services against covid.Additional Deputy Commissioner Development SP Angra, Congress leader Amandeep Singh Gora Gill, Youth Congress President Sourav Khullar, District Development and Panchayat Officer Lakhwinder Singh Randhawa and others were present on the occasion.
