Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu hands over cheque of Rs. 3 lakh to panchayat of village Kandala

Streets Lights to be installed & water tanker to be purchased

S.A.S. Nagar : The Health and Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, Balbir Singh Sidhu today handed over cheques worth Rs. 3 lakh to the gram panchayat of village kandala for the development oriented works.In his address on the occasion, the minister said that a cheque of Rs. 80000 has been given for purchasing a water tanker as it was a long pending demand of the panchayat. Another cheque of Rs. 2.46 lakh has been given for the purpose of installing street lights in the village and the work would be speedily finished. He also divulged that the development works in the Mohali constituency are going on war footing and would continue at pace. There would be no dearth of money for the development centric projects.
The Sarpanch of the village Bimla Devi, on the occassion thanked the minister and said that the constituency is seeing rapid development under the leadership of the minister.
Among others present on the occasion included the Political Secretary to the minister and Chairman Market Commitee Kharar Harkesh Chand Sharma Machhli Kalan, Sarpanch Bimla Devi, Senior Congress leader Gurdhian Singh Durali, Bahadur Singh Panch, Darshan Singh Panch, Sukhbir Singh Panch, Gurmeet Kaur, Swaran Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Sushil Kumar and Jagtar Singh.
