Mission Fateh : Balbir Singh Sidhu takes stock of construction of small bridge at village Gobingarh

Long pending demand of people fulfilled, To cost Rs. 24 lakh

S.A.S.Nagar : The Health and Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, Balbir Singh Sidhu today took stock of the construction of a small bridge at village Gobindgarh and instructed the concerned officials to speed up the work.On the occasion, the minister said that the residents of the area were facing harrowing times in commuting due to the huge potholes on the road. He also said that the students of Government Senior Secondary School and Primary School of the village also had to face enormous difficulties in reaching the school. During the monsoon, the situation used to take a turn for the worse. It was a long pending demand of the people of the area to have a small bridge constructed here.When the matter was brought to his notice, he immediately directed the officials to prepare a proposal and commence the construction work. He also said that the project would cost Rs. 24 lakh. He also added that the State Government led by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring rapid development of the villages.Divulging more, he said that due to the timely steps taken by the Punjab Government, the dreaded disease has been contained to a large extent. The State has become a frontline one in terms of the recovery of COVID-19 patients at the rate of 91 percent. He appealed to the people to cover their face with mask, handkerchief or any piece of cloth when going out and maintain social distance.Among others present on the occasion included the Political Secretary to the minister and Chairman Market Committee Kharar Harkesh Chand Sharma Machhli Kalan, Sarpanch Village Gobindgarh Chaudhary Ram Ishwar, SDO of PWD Sunil Kumar, JE Vivek Kumar, Raj Kumar, Najar Puri, Balbir Singh, Balwinder Singh Panch, Ashok Puri, Chaudhary Bakhtaura Ram and Chaudhary Deep Chand.
