Mission Fateh To Be Achieved In Rural Areas With Support & Cooperation Of Panchayats : Sunder Sham Arora

Hoshiarpur : Extending a strong appeal to the residents of villages to play a crucial role in controlling the further spread of COVID-19, Industries and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora today said that Punjab Government would achieve ‘mission fateh’ in rural areas with the cooperation and support of Panchayats.After participating virtual launch of awareness drive by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the Industries and Commerce Minister while talking with the media persons here at District Administrative Complex said it was high time for all villagers, panchayats, social, religious and other organisations especially youth clubs to join hands with the administration and State Government to keep this virus at way resulting in saving precious lives. Arora said that during the first wave of COVID-19 Panchayats had played a pivotal role in their respective villages, which was again necessitated amid surge in positive cases in rural belts.Speaking about the ongoing awareness campaign by the District Administration, Sunder Sham Arora called upon all the political parties and social organisations etc for working shoulder to shoulder with the state Government to make Mission Fateh a great success resulting in saving precious lives. He said that Punjab Government had make elaborate arrangements to organise special vaccination camps in villages besides providing requisite medicines to combat this virus and people should take full advantage of this.The Minister also lauded the announcement of Chief Ministers for giving Rs. 10 lakh as special grant to villages having 100 percent vaccination. He said that people should not fall prey to misleading information related and come forward for getting them vaccinated at the earliest without any further delay.MLA Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal also urged the people of rural areas that eligible beneficiaries should not skip of vaccination as it is must for keeping ourselves healthy and fit amid spike in cases. He said that the rural pandemic could be contained only by timely vaccination besides adoption of COVID appropriate behaviour in our daily routine. Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait and ADC (D) Harbir Singh was also present.

Sarpanch of Sarangwal village in Mahilpur block 61-year old Surjit Kaur today prioritised that awareness, vaccination and strict compliance of COVID guidelines in our daily routine should be a foremost task, which could pave a way to control the spread of deadly virus. Surjit Kaur, who herself got vaccinated, while sharing her experience during virtual interaction of Sarpanches by the Chief Minister pointed out that they had organised three camps to make more and more people sensitise about this virus and its effects. She apprised that in her village over 70 percent eligible beneficiaries were got vaccinated while the remaining are being getting the jabs. Not only Thikri Pehras in night time but also the residents of village remain on alert in day time for asking the valid reasons to those entering the village, said Surjit Kaur adding that it is call of the day to save precious lives by implementing all the guidelines, proper wearing of masks, maintaining social distance besides avoiding gathering above prescribed numbers.
