MLA and CP dedicates the newly constructed Basti Bawa Khel Police Station worth Rs. 1.50 Crore

Say, new police station equipped with infrastructure like barrack for staff, IO cabins, record room, wireless room, dining room and larger waiting lounge

Jalandhar : MLA Sushil Kumar Rinku and Commissioner of Police Gurpreet singh Bhullar today inaugurated newly constructed Basti Bawa Khel Police Station at 120 feet road, which was developed at a cost of Rs. 1.50 Crore.After the inauguration, interacting with the media persons the MLA and the CP stated that the newly built police state is equipped with modern facilities like barrack for staff, separate IO cabins, record room with lockers, wireless room, dining room, larger waiting lounge, lockup, armory and malkhana besides washrooms for males and females. They said these facilities would change the overall scenario of policing in the region as people would have new experiences while visiting this ultra-modern police station.Notably, during a state level virtual inauguration event, a total of nine such police stations have been dedicated today of which two police stations Basti Bawa Khel and Bilga were inaugurated in Jalandhar district. MLA Sushil Kumar Rinku said that the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led state government has left no stone unturned to bring transformation at every threshold of society and this high-tech modern police station is an endorsement to Captain Government’s commitment towards all round development of the state.Pointing out further, the Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar mentioned that earlier Basti Bawa Khel Police Station was located at JP Nagar, which has now been shifted into this new building. He further added that the new building has a lot of facilities, which were missing in the previous one adding such endeavors would infuse a renewed zeal and passion among force to continue rendering selfless services to humanity.
