Mohinder Pal assumes charge as Deputy Commissioner Mansa

Solving grievances of public top priority: Deputy Commissioner

Mansa : Mohinder Pal, a 2008 batch officer of the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) on Wednesday, assumed charge as Deputy Commissioner Mansa. Prior to joining as Deputy Commissioner Mansa, Mohinder Pal was posted as special secretary, home affairs, justice and jails and in addition Secretary, State Election Commission Punjab.Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Mansa said that he would accord top priority to solve grievances of the public besides providing them clean, transparent and responsive administration.He also reviewed Coronavirus (COVID-19) and law and order situation in the district while holding a meeting with the officials including Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC General) Sukhpreet Singh Sidhu and ADC Development Amarpreet Kaur.Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to give a patient hearing to people coming with the problems and try to dispose them off at the earliest. He said that no stone would be left unturned towards the implementation of the pro-people and development-oriented policies of the state government to benefit the masses.The Deputy Commissioner further said that he would carry forward the welfare programs and policies of the Punjab government to safeguard the interests of the weaker and underprivileged sections of the society adding that due focus would be laid on Revenue generation also.Meanwhile, Sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Budhlada Sagar Setia, SDM Mansa Sarabjeet Kaur, SDM Sardulgarh Rajpal, Assistant Commissioner (General) Navdeep Kumar, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kuldeep Sohi and District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) Dinesh Vashist were also present in the meeting.
