Another Stride In ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ Mission To Provide Employment To Less Literate Youth

Hoshiarpur : The District Administration has come up with another initiative to ensure handsome earnings for less literate and needy youngsters with launch of Mr. Clean project.Unveiling Punjab’s first of its kind ‘Mr. Clean’ project by dispatching batch of 20 youngsters here in the premises of District Employment Bureau, Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said that youngsters included in the Mr. Clean initiative would ensure affordable car washing at the doorsteps of people in Hoshiarpur and Garhshankar. She said that under Punjab Government’s Ghar Ghar Rozgar Misson the District Employment Bureau offered opportunity to less educated youngsters, who would earn handsome money monthly to run their homes. Riyait also handed over washing kits and training certificates to Mr. Cleans.Apneet Riyait informed that youngster under Mr. Clean project would wash cars at the doorsteps of every ward in the city including Hoshiarpur and Garhshankar. On one hand these youngster will get work opportunities and the people could avail the facility of car washing at a nominal rate of Rs. 450 per month on the other, she added. Lauding the significant role played by the Sonalika group to make this project a reality, the Deputy Commissioner thanked Vice Chairman of Sonalika Amrit Sagar Mittal and MD Deepak Mittal for their support and cooperation to every project introduced by the District Administration.
She also thanked the MD of Hoshiarpur Automobiles Ajwinder Singh for ensuring proper training to these youngsters. The Deputy Commissioner said that the under Corporate Social Responsibility the Sonalika Group had provided a high-tech washing kit to these youngsters. Apart from kits and training, the District Administration has also given them clients so that they could earn a handsome income every month. The Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the efforts of District Employment Officer Gurmail Singh and his team including placement officer Mangesh Sood and career counselor Aditya Rana for unique initiatives in employment generation.This project will be replicated in the other cities of the district in time to come, said the Deputy Commissioner adding that the number of clients for Mr. Clean would be enhanced. On this occasion J.S. Chauhan & Rajnish Sandal from Sonalika group and GM of Hoshiarpur Automobiles Akhilesh Sood also commended the efforts of District Employment Bureau for providing job opportunities to unemployed youth especially during COVID-19 pandemic.Mr. CLEAN & HIS KIT: A special kit has been provided to these youngsters having portable washing gun, shoes, branded cleaning products, vacuum cleaner, carry bag, bucket, uniform, ID card etc. Mr. Clean will charge Rs. 450 from a household for washing a car for thrice in a week and 12 to 15 times washing in a month. Car will also be vacuumed every fortnight. As many as 30 to 35 customers have been provided to each Mr. Clean thus paving a way to earn around Rs. 15000 per month. A receipt having all terms and conditions will also be provided to customer terms and conditions.
