CBC organised four-day photo exhibition on ‘Veerta Aur Vikas Ki Gatha’ begins

Fatehgarh Sahib : To make the general public aware of the flagship schemes of the central government implemented for public benefit and to celebrate valour and bravery of Indian Armed Forces in the 1971 war, the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) of the Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Jalandhar is organising a four-day photo exhibition named – ‘Veerta Aur Vikas Ki Gatha’, at Ambedkar Bhawan, here.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Parneet Shergill as Chief Guest and Addl Deputy Commissioner Anupreeta Johal. SDM Fatehgarh Sahib Harpreet Singh Atwal and Tehsildar Badaldin were also present.
Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) in putting up the exhibition. She said such exhibitions showcasing the valour ofnthe Indian Armed Forces are the need of the hour to make the young generation aware of the heroic deeds of our military and para military forces.
At the same time she said that people are being benefitted by various central and state government schemes implemented in the district for their benefit and overall development of the district.
The exhibition is showcasing infographics on various flagship schemes of the Government of India, including those implemented in Fatehgarh Sahib and photographs related to 1971 India-Pakistan war, that created a new nation Bangladesh.
This was the war in which Indian armed forces including Army, Air Force and Navy as well as Border Security Force set a stellar example of synchronised effort with highest levels of professionalism, conviction and strategic planning. This year, India celebrates 51st Vijay Diwas of the war.
Field Publicity Officer Rajesh Bali said that the exhibition will help public in understanding that how our nation is progressing at various levels besides providing best of services for the benefit of a layman including for women empowerment.
Photo panels describing the conservation of India’s glorious history, return of Indian heritage, digital transactions, indigenous production achievements in defence sector under Make in India programme, achievements under Har Ghar Jal Mission in providing drinking tap water to crores of households in far off places are some of the information panels which have been displayed in the exhibition.
