Environmental pollution is the result of the failure of the central government

Nawanshahr : The Punjab Government has been working tirelessly for the last four and a half years for the development and welfare of the people of the state.Disclosing this here today ,Mr. Tewari said that the people of Banga had been facing the problem of rain water in the for a long time and to solve this problem permanently Storm Sewerage was started today at a cost of Rs. 1.93 crore. 1.69 crore is spent for the installation of sewerage in the streets of Banga town. He said that to meet the shortage of drinking water in the city, 2 new tubewells were being installed at a cost of Rs. 50 lakhs. He said that all these important projects would be completed within the stipulated time that is 6 months.Replying to the queries of the media persons, he said that the present problem of pollution was due to the negligence of the Central Government and the Pollution Department under the Central Government, therefore it was not justifiable to hold the farmers responsible.

He had also taken up the issue in the Lok Sabha and while supporting the farmers said that farmers were not responsible for air pollution but appropriate policy should be adopted for its solution. The three opposing black laws must be repealed at all costs. The Congress party also appealed to the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Agriculture Minister to cancel them, but they did not give a proper assurance.He said that Punjab government has already repealed these laws in the assembly.Mr. Satvir Singh Palijhikki Chairman District Planning Board Nawanshahr, Mr. Pawan Dewan,Chairman Punjab Large Industrial Development Board, Mr. Dharvjit Singh Pooni Chairman Market Committee Banga, Mr. Jatinder Kaur Moonga, Mr. Manjinder Mohan Congress Urban President Banga, Mr. Sokhi Ram Bajon, Mr. Harbhajan Singh Block President, Mr. Rajinder Singh Contractor, Rajinder Sharma, Sonu Jhika, Talwinder Kaur MC, Tirath Singh Chairman Block Samiti Banga, and other dignitaries were present.
