Ghar-Ghar Rozgar : Hoshiarpur secures first position in ‘small category’ to providie jobs to unemployed youth : Sunder Sham Arora

Hoshiarpur : Under Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Mission, the district has secured first position in ‘small category’ for providing jobs to unemployed youth during sixth state level mega job fair held across the state.Disclosing this here today Industries and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora said the Hoshiarpur Administration had provided two and half fold increased 5109 jobs against the given target of of 2000. He said the candidates had got the packages between Rs. 1.08 lakh and Rs. 3.60 lakh annually.In virtual culmination of the sixth mega job fairs by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh in presence of Congress Member Parliament Rahul Gandhi from Patiala, the Industries Minister pointed out that Ghar-Ghar Rozgaar Mission was one of ambitious program of Chief Minister to ensure jobs to youth in each family of the state. He said a total of 13 fairs were organized in the district and 5109 including 4396 boys and 713 girls got employed in the banking, insurance, health, schools, mobile, textile, security, plywood sectors. He said the companies had offered 6615 vacancies in the job fairs. The Minister informed that so far the state government had provided 58000 government jobs, 4.17 lakh youths including 93000 in this sixth job fairs, got jobs in various sectors. He told 8.80 lakh youths of the state had been facilitated in getting loans for starting their own ventures under self-employment.The Minister also added that in these fairs, none of job below than DC rate was being provided and a job having minimum salary nearly Rs 10,000 was given. He revealed in these fairs, annual package of Rs 1.08 lakh to over Rs. 3.5 lakh had been given by the firms to the candidates.He also lauded Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for announcing state’s own post-matric scholarship scheme for the SC students.Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included MLAs Pawan Kumar Adia, Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Arun Dogra, Indu Bala, Former MLA Luv Kumar Goldy, Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyiat, Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Harbir Singh, Market Committee District Employement Offer Karam Chand and candidates who got selected by the different companies.
