Deputy Commissioner inaugurate Atal Tinkering Lab at Nankana Sahib Public School

Ludhiana : Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Surabhi Malik inaugurated Atal Tinkering Lab here today at Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park Ludhiana.The Deputy Commissioner took keen interest in the exhibits prepared by the students including Plastic Bottle Collector Vending Machine, human excretory system, graphic structure, diamond structure, keypad phone assembled by a class X student Sukhmanpreet Singh, battery operated jeep, lego toys(Mechanz) , Electric bike, wall piano which plays through electric circuit etc.
The students also responded with confidence to all the volley of queries raised by the chief guest. While addressing the children with ignited minds of the school, Mrs Surabhi Malik said,”It is a wonderful laboratory. All of you are going to learn a lot from here. ”
It needs to be mentioned here that Nankana Sahib public School, Gill Park was selected by NITI Aayog for Atal Tinkering lab. For this NITI Aayog has given the school a grant of rupees 20 lakhs for establishing a full fledged working lab .
The school Principal Mrs Harmeet Kaur Waraich said,”In this laboratory, the students are being given hands on experience in various fields with a special focus on three Dimensional (3D), printing, artificial intelligence, robotics and astrophysics, Mechanzo, small electronic circuits, soldering, tinker cad, software for designing, electrical tools, electronic equipments and drone.”
On this occasion Mr Balvinder Singh Joint Commissioner Central GST Audit Commissionerate Ludhiana, Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria Additional Secretary of School Managing Committee, Inderpal Singh Director Nankana Sahib Education Trust and Dr Sehajpal Singh Principal Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College were the guests of honour.
