Orientation programme for new students at RBU

Mohali : The Rayat Bahra University organised a two-day orientation programme for the newly admitted students.The objective of this programme was to introduce the students to the academic traditions, ethos and academic culture of the university as well as to its various departments and facilities.
Addressing the students from different schools of.the university, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of University, said that the Rayat Bahra University is synonymous with quality education.It has managed to create a brand name which stands for exceptional faculty strength and full-fledged infrastructure facilities.
Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, said the university had signed MoUs with several renowned companies to ensure good placements for the passing out students.Prof. (Dr.) Neena Mehta, Dean Academic Affairs, Rayat Bahra University, told the students about academic regulations, Er.Abhinav Tripathi, Joint Controller of Examinations, informed the students about examination rules, Dr Dinesh Sharma, Registrar, and Dr Simerjit Kaur, Dean of Student Welfare, dwelt on Anti Ragging Measures and Student Welfare Activities, and Sakshi Bahl made the students conversant with library rules.
The programme included talks on Career Counselling and Placement Processes, and introduction of faculty members.Evaluation components as per academic regulations were explained in detail. It was an ice breaking session which ended with a campus visit.
